How it works
Roof jobs
Every job tears off the old roofing from the ridge down, then lays new courses from the eave up. Tapping, clicking or holding on the roof does work; your company works on its own all the time. Finishing a job pays a bonus of a tenth of the job's size, and the next roof arrives straight away. A job is sized at about a minute and a quarter of your production, but every site has a minimum size: on a bigger site, or with your hands alone, a job can take longer.
Production assets
Each production asset earns credits every second. Prices rise by 15% with every one you own; owning 25, 50, 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 of one kind doubles its output each time. The next kind appears as a silhouette when you are close to affording it.
Upgrades and Mastery
Upgrades multiply what one kind of production asset or your taps earn, or improve a system. Every achievement is also worth Mastery points (1 to 4 by frame), and every point adds 1% to all production.
Time away
While the game is closed your company keeps producing for up to two hours at half rate (Long-term storage and some research raise both). Timers — research and contracts — always run in full. Opportunities only appear while you are watching.
Saving and backups
The game saves in this browser every 30 seconds, when you leave, and after important steps. It keeps five rolling backups and snapshots before imports and rebuilds; restore any of them from Settings. Export a save code to keep a copy elsewhere or to move to another device.
Opportunities and boosts
Every few minutes an opportunity may appear on the worksite for a short while. Taking it gives credits or a temporary boost. The same boost never stacks with itself — taking it again keeps the stronger and the longer — but different boosts multiply. A hand-work boost and a production boost at the same time show as a combo.
Contracts
Contracts send part of your company out on a job without spending anything. Each needs a number of one kind of asset, runs for a set time even while the game is closed, and pays a lump sum based on your steady production. Contracts never fail and can be called off.
Weather and dispatch
Each region has its own weather, changing every 20 minutes and forecast ahead. Good weather raises a contract's pay or shortens it; weather never makes a contract fail. The contract's pay is fixed when you accept it.
Materials Laboratory
The laboratory researches one project at a time, also while the game is closed. Story research opens the next act; other projects improve your company for good. Samples brought back by contracts unlock more projects. Research is never lost when you rebuild.
Rebuilding and Legacy
Once this company has earned 100 billion credits you can rebuild: start again from the shed with Legacy Blueprints. Every blueprint ever earned adds 1.5% production for good; spend them on legacy nodes. Specializations only work while equipped, and the loadout can change once every four hours or freely after a rebuild.

The containment console
At the containment console you choose how your company handles the anomaly: Contain, Study or Exploit. Every approach finishes the story; each changes how your company works. The approach can be changed once per hour (any time with Anomaly stewardship equipped).

Warranty claims
After the epilogue, six warranty claims each rebuild your company under one rule with one goal. A claim starts when a rebuild could (this company has earned 100 billion credits) and claims the same blueprints. Meet the goal and the rule lifts; every completed claim adds 5% blueprint gain for good. One claim at a time; abandon whenever you like.
Troubleshooting
My progress is gone after clearing browser data.
The game saves only in this browser. Clearing site data, or a private window that closes, removes the save. Export a save code from Settings now and then to keep a copy you can import anywhere.
The game says it may not be able to keep my save.
The browser has not granted persistent storage, so it may clear the save when space runs low. The game still saves; keep an exported save code as a backup.
There is no sound.
Browsers start audio only after you interact with the page: tap or press a key once. Check the volume and mute settings in Settings, and that the tab is not muted.
A second tab says it is read-only.
Only one tab can play at a time so they cannot overwrite each other's progress. Close the other tab to play in this one.
An import was rejected.
A save code must be copied whole; it has a checksum, so a missing character is detected rather than loading a damaged save. Nothing is replaced until you confirm the preview.
Something went wrong after an update or an import.
Settings lists rolling backups and snapshots taken before imports and rebuilds. Restoring one replaces the current save after a confirmation.
Motion makes me uncomfortable.
Choose reduced motion in Settings (or in your system settings): animations become still, and nothing flashes. Battery saver also stops most animation.
